We believe that insects, particularly black soldier fly larvae (BSFL), can play a crucial role in closing the loop between animal waste and animal feed. Our farm is committed to raising healthy and sustainable insects for use in animal feed and other applications.

How does an insect farm work?

Our insect farm is installed where organic waste is created or treatment is needed. Treatable wastes include animal manure, catering waste, expired food, abattoir waste, sewage sludge, and more. Waste is collected and stored in temporary storage vessels to prevent odor and pollution.

The treatment unit is monitored and controlled 24/7 for optimal growth and conversion efficiency. The larvae are fed and ventilated automatically, drastically reducing labor costs and improving space efficiency. Each unit has a treatment capacity of up to 2 tons/day and requires only 7m² space, and can be combined according to demand. Due to the biological heat of insects, the treatment process requires minimal energy, and is completed within just 12 days.

Up to 400 kg fully grown fresh larvae and 800 kg larvae frass can be produced each day. The fresh larvae can be used directly as fresh feed or further processed into dried pellets or refined into biodiesel, C10 fatty acids, chitosan, melanin, bio-plastics, and many more. Larvae frass is a high quality source of fertilizer and can be directly used in the land.
